WAVES

When the wind brushes across the surface of the sea, grazing gently against the water, the current begins to move, gradually rising into waves.

When a thought surfaces in the mind, it collides with inner emotions, stirring ripples within. Emotions resemble waves—at times swelling, at times receding. In this rhythm of ebb and flow lies both the trace of repetition and the story each journey longs to tell.

PROJECTbyH. SS26 “Waves” translates the motion of the sea into the shifting tides of emotion. Through layers and textures of fabric, the collection reveals a sensibility that calls for attentive perception.

This season, natural fibers take center stage. Sheer yet tactile textiles are treated as an extension of the skin, layered with denser fabrics and accented by handwoven knitted tapes. These create an undulating relief, echoing the rhythm of waves. As garments move, fabrics and woven details sway naturally, evoking the cadence of the tide. Hand-brushed dyeing with recycled tea leaves and rust water traces the passage of time, like ceaseless waves narrating stories of flow and recurrence.

“Every garment has traveled a journey before arriving here. May you, in wearing it, feel the story it wishes to share with you.”
